His age is a big question mark. The Wiki guesses in his late 20s, I could see him being up to his 40s. So if age difference is a Big No for you, fair warning.

Blanca is tall, dark and handsome personified, complete with a mysterious past as an elite Russian special ops. He will be generally polite, pleasant, and shallowly flirtatious.

Despite preaching morals when it sounds lofty, he shouldn't be mistaken for a good person: as a man hired by various international crime syndicates, he's quite at home with the way the underworld works. He's the sort who will not only leave a child with his abuser and suppose he's done the child a favor, he came out of retirement to retrieve and bring said rebellious child to heel for his abuser because of a fond interest in said child.

That said, he does have feelings and preferences; he just isn't prone to acting on them easily. Given he's so skilled as to be a living plot device for whichever side he's allied with, that's a good thing. At one point, despite defecting on a contract to pursue a favored person as a client, he neglects to save his new, favored employer from seemingly certain doom because he supposes it wouldn't be narratively proper to make the kill shot on the enemy himself. It's an odd mix of sentimentality and keeping his hands off of matters. At the end of the series, there are loose threads regarding the employer he abandoned but still cared for. Despite being quite uniquely equipped to handle the worst of those dangling threads, he decides to leave well enough alone and ghost the world.

A running theme of his is supposing one has a certain role in life and there isn't much to be done beyond accepting it. While this changes a bit throughout the course of the series, getting him to act as much more than a spectator or commentator may be like pulling teeth. Shipping may likewise be a Hallmark Fairy Tale Romance followed by dropping off the face of the earth with no contact, supposing he's doing the other party a favor.
